The Málaga City Fair 2026 presents its new entrance on Calle Larios, inspired by Málaga's identity, with activities for all audiences until 18:00.

The Málaga City Fair 2026 unveils a monumental entrance on Calle Larios inspired by the city's identity. The structure, standing at 16.30 metres high, incorporates monuments such as the Cathedral and La Farola, and is adorned with green and purple fans, verdiales ribbons, and biznagas at the base. The surroundings will feature 16,200 lanterns.

The programme, presented this Wednesday by the Councillor for Operational Services, Beaches, and Festivals, Teresa Porras, includes daily performances in squares such as Constitución, Las Flores, del Obispo, and San Pedro Alcántara, from 13:00 to 18:00. Calle Larios will host a permanent stage for popular folklore from 12:00 to 17:00, featuring dance groups and choirs, almost all from Málaga.

The verdiales groups will take centre stage on Larios every day from 13:00 to 17:00, showcasing the three styles from the province: Montes, Almogía, and Comares, thanks to the Provincial Federation of Verdiales Groups. Meanwhile, the Peña Juan Breva, located at Calle Ramón Franquelo 4, will host flamenco performances from August 15 to 22, with daily shows of singing, guitar, and flamenco displays starting at 15:00 and 16:30.

The Magical Fair celebrates its 30th anniversary in Plaza de la Merced from August 16 to 22, from 12:00 to 15:30, with a space theme 'From Earth to the Moon'. There will be games, workshops, theatre, puppets, parades, magic, music, and an ecological carousel, featuring more than a dozen companies and artists.

The official opening will be on Friday, August 14, with the Historical Parade of the Cultural Association Zegrí starting from Plaza de la Merced at 20:00, followed by the handing over of keys at the Customs House at 20:30. The port night will include a drone show at 23:50 and a pyromusical display at midnight.

On Saturday, August 15, the Pilgrimage to the Basilica of Victoria will depart at 11:00 from Paseo del Parque, with Málaga actress María Barranco as the standard-bearer. The fair will be supported by Mahos, Mahou San Miguel, and the Historical Centre Association, among others.
