The yellow team faces its last week of pre-season in Marbella with two friendly matches, training sessions, and a weekend break before returning to the Island.

UD Las Palmas is approaching the final stretch of its summer training camp in Marbella. The team managed by Rubén de la Barrera has five days of work ahead before heading to Gran Canaria, where they will prepare for the Trofeo Carranza and the start of LaLiga Hypermotion.

The yellow squad will complete a morning session at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, after which they will enjoy the afternoon off. This will provide a breather in the midst of a busy week, which began on Tuesday with an early training session and the match against Leiria.

On Thursday, double sessions will resume: the players will train in the morning and return to work at 6:00 PM to finalise preparations for the fourth friendly of the pre-season. This match will take place on Friday at 10:00 AM against Neom SC, a Saudi club representing a city still under construction.

After Friday's match, the Gran Canarians will return to the Island in the afternoon. The weekend will be a total rest period, with no scheduled training, allowing the players to recover their strength before facing the final stretch of pre-season in Barranco Seco.

The next major commitment will be the Trofeo Carranza, which Las Palmas will play on Saturday, August 8, against Cádiz. Although it is not confirmed if there will be any additional friendlies, the team has already marked in red the date of August 16 at 8:30 PM, when they will debut in LaLiga Hypermotion against Albacete. That match will have a special incentive for Jefté Betancor, who will face his former team.

The stay in Marbella has allowed UD Las Palmas to build physical endurance and assimilate the tactical concepts that Rubén de la Barrera wants to implement. The Galician coach has taken advantage of the Marbella facilities to work on the intensity and cohesion of the group, key aspects for a demanding season in the Second Division.

For Canary fans, the team's return to the Island will mean the opportunity to closely follow the final rehearsals before the league starts. The Marbella stage has been an opportunity for the squad to prepare in a calm environment with good conditions, away from the distractions of daily routine.

The planning for the week reflects the search for balance between workload and recovery. After the intense pre-season phase, the players will have a full weekend to disconnect and recharge their energies before facing the final phase of preparation.

The Trofeo Carranza will serve as a high-level test against a rival from the same category, Cádiz, while the league debut against Albacete will mark the real start of the competition. UD Las Palmas aims to arrive in optimal condition for that date, and the work done in Marbella is a fundamental step in that direction.

The concentration on the Costa del Sol has been a constant in the pre-seasons of the yellow club, which values the facilities and climate of the area for rigorous conditioning. This year, it has also allowed the team to face opponents of different styles, such as the Portuguese Leiria and the Saudi Neom, enriching the preparation.

With the return to the Island, UD Las Palmas will start the countdown to the Trofeo Carranza and the start of the League. The coming days will be crucial to define the starting eleven and adjust the final tactical details, with an eye on the goal of starting the season on the right foot.
