The show 'A Fondo' aired its last episode of the fourth season this Monday, with a debate on the inheritance of the mayor's husband, social housing, tourist apartments, and the agreements from the municipal plenary.
The show 'A Fondo', which is broadcast on local televisions 7TV and M95TV, concluded its fourth season this Monday with a debate filled with current local issues. The programme, moderated by Ignacio Reyes, featured panellists Carmen Varo, Francisco Gutiérrez, and Juan Carlos Angulo, who analysed the current affairs of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara.
One of the central issues was the legal dispute over the inheritance of Marbella's mayor, Ángeles Muñoz. The family feud has reached the courts and, as has been revealed, the mayor has not updated her asset declaration with the Town Hall. This case has generated significant media interest in the locality.
The housing block occupied a large part of the programme. The upcoming construction of 25 protected housing units (VPO) in Arroyo Palomera was discussed, a project aimed at alleviating housing demand. According to municipal registry data, over 3,000 people are registered as applicants for social housing in Marbella. Additionally, the proliferation of tourist apartments was debated, which, despite the lack of specific regulation from the Town Hall, seems to have stabilised. In fact, data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) indicates a slight reduction in the number of such accommodations in the municipality.
Another highlighted point was the analysis of the ordinary plenary held last Friday. Among the agreements adopted, the new blue zone ordinance was given final approval, which expands the areas of regulated paid parking. A budget of 280,000 euros was also approved for the expansion of the Engraving Museum, a project that had been pending for some time.
The programme concluded with the 'A Pie de Calle' section, presented by Paco Gutiérrez, which addresses everyday topics of life in Marbella. With this broadcast, 'A Fondo' wraps up its fourth season, which began in 2022 as a result of the collaboration between the channels M95TV and 7TV and the digital newspapers Marbella Hoy and marbella24horas.
Viewers who missed the programme can watch it on demand through the marbella24horas YouTube channel. The talk show will return with new episodes next September, resuming its weekly appointment with local news.
