The Jerez band Los Delinqüentes performed last night at Marenostrum Fuengirola before a crowd that sang along to their most emblematic songs. The concert, organised by the local promoter Eternidad Eventos, included an emotional tribute to Miguel Benítez 'Migué' and a deceased friend from Málaga.
The Marenostrum Fuengirola venue vibrated last night with the return of Los Delinqüentes, who offered a concert lasting over two hours, revisiting the greatest hits of their career. The Jerez band, a reference of the so-called 'garrapatero spirit', performed before an almost full house that sang and applauded throughout the evening.
The night kicked off in the early afternoon with a performance by Cervatana, who set the tone with their characteristic energy. They were followed by Mesalla, the young promise of the Andalusian scene represented by Jhony Marchena and Eternidad Eventos themselves. Their proposal, which fuses current sounds with Andalusian roots, was well received by the audience.
El Jose's turn came next with a repertoire of well-crafted lyrics and a closeness that generated rapport among the attendees. His performance served as a prelude to the most anticipated moment: the entrance of Los Delinqüentes, who were greeted with an ovation that echoed throughout the venue.
From the first chords, the group connected with the audience. Songs like 'A la luz del Lorenzo', 'El aire de la calle', and 'Poeta encadenado' were sung in unison. At one point during the concert, the band paused to remember Miguel Benítez, 'Migué', who passed away in 2020, dedicating some words: 'We have a star that guides us, which is our brother Migué.' They also wanted to dedicate a song to Fátima, a friend from Málaga who recently passed away.
The concert continued at a frenetic pace, with songs that maintained the connection with the fans. One of the high points came with 'La primavera trompetera', which unleashed euphoria. The closing numbers were 'Chinchetas' and 'Trabubulandia', two classics that got everyone dancing.
The evening, organised by the Fuengirola promoter Eternidad Eventos, demonstrated that the music of Los Delinqüentes remains relevant, combining rumba, rock, flamenco, and other influences that have marked several generations. The promoter has announced that the upcoming concerts at Marenostrum Fuengirola will feature Pablo López (30 July), Lola Índigo (14 August), and Galvan Real (21 August).
