The Town Hall of Fuengirola will open registrations for the second edition of the free Sevillanas workshop for young people aged 16 to 35 this Friday, September 11, at 20:00. The classes will take place over five days between September 25 and 30 at the Edificio Colores.
The Town Hall of Fuengirola, through the Youth Department, has opened the registration period for the second edition of the free Sevillanas workshop aimed at young people. The process can be completed from Friday, September 11 at 20:00 using the Citizen Card. Places are limited.
The activity will be held at the Edificio Colores over five days. The afternoon sessions will be on September 25, 28, 29, and 30, from 19:30 to 21:30, while on Saturday, September 26, the workshop will take place in the morning, from 10:00 to 12:00.
The workshop is designed for both those who want to start learning this traditional dance and those who already have prior knowledge and wish to perfect their technique. The announcement comes ahead of the Feria and Fiestas del Rosario, which will be held from October 6 to 12, so that participants can arrive at the event with the steps learned.
“The Town Hall continues to work to offer young people leisure, training, and participation proposals tailored to their interests and also linked to the traditions and events of our city,” said the Youth Councillor, Isaac Vargas.
The councillor also encouraged young people to participate in this new call: “an opportunity to learn or perfect Sevillanas and arrive at our Feria with the steps learned, enjoying our festivities and traditions even more.”
The first edition of the workshop was well received, according to the Town Hall, which thus maintains a youth programme that combines leisure, training, and activities linked to local traditions. Interested individuals must formalise their registration through the Citizen Card from the indicated date, with places limited until full capacity is reached.
