The Sol Park hosts the fifth edition of the oral storytelling festival with four narrators: Carolina Rueda, Aldo Méndez, Irene Reina, and Quico Cadaval. The sessions will be at 18:30 and 20:30 hours.

The fifth edition of the oral storytelling festival Perita Cuentos will take place at the Sol Park in Fuengirola from 16th to 18th September, as announced by the Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, at a press conference. The cycle is aimed at audiences of all ages and will feature four narrators: Carolina Rueda, Aldo Méndez, Irene Reina, and Quico Cadaval.

Romero explained that the aim is for both children and adults to take time to listen to stories. “It is important for children, and also adults, to be able to listen to stories, whether real or fictional, to pay attention and spend time understanding what is being told to them,” said the councillor, who added that this year will feature “some of the most prestigious speakers in the country.”

The programme will kick off on Wednesday 16th September with two sessions by Carolina Rueda: at 18:30 hours she will present ‘Cuentos cantados, cantos contados’ for family audiences, and at 20:30 hours she will read ‘Gentes, caminos y suceso’ for young and adult audiences.

The following day, on Thursday 17th, Aldo Méndez will present the family session ‘Mundo de papel’ at 18:30 hours. At 20:30 hours, all four narrators will participate together in ‘Peritas en dulce’, aimed at young and adult audiences.

The cycle will conclude on Friday 18th September. Irene Reina will present ‘Pliegos de cordel’ for family audiences at 18:30 hours, and Quico Cadaval will close with ‘Los Inocentes’ at 20:30 hours, also for young and adult audiences.

Registrations to attend the sessions can be made on the public libraries' website: bibliotecaspublicas.es/fuengirola/Agenda.html.
