The church of San Juan de Dios in Antequera will bring together the Coral Alminares de Nerja and the Coral Ciudad de Antequera on Saturday, September 19. Entry is free until full capacity is reached.
The church of San Juan de Dios, in the historic centre of Antequera, will host the choir concert 'Two Cities, One Voice' on Saturday, September 19 at 19:30 hours. The musical event is organised by the Coral Ciudad de Antequera in collaboration with the City Council of Antequera and will feature the Coral Alminares de Nerja.
The councillor for Culture and Historical Heritage, José Medina Galeote, has announced this event, which will allow attendees to enjoy an evening of choral music in one of the most prominent heritage sites in the historic centre of Antequera. Entry will be free until full capacity is reached.
The Coral Alminares de Nerja will perform under the direction of José Eugenio Vicente Téllez, with Juan Antonio Vicente Téllez on piano. Meanwhile, the Coral Ciudad de Antequera will be conducted by Manuel E. Ruiz Campos, accompanied on piano by Antonio Henares.
“Continuing to support initiatives promoted by local groups helps enrich the cultural programming of the city and highlights historical spaces like the church of San Juan de Dios,” noted Medina Galeote, who invited both residents and visitors to attend.
The concert presents a meeting between both choral groups and strengthens the cultural ties between Antequera and Nerja. The audience will be able to appreciate the work developed by both groups in a space with limited capacity.
