The Civil Guard has arrested two men in Madrid for their alleged involvement in several robberies targeting elderly women using the snatching method.
The crimes occurred in public places in the town of Majadahonda. The detainees selected their victims, and while one of them waited on a motorcycle, the other used physical violence to steal necklaces and chokers.
Investigation Details
The investigation began after receiving reports of robberies committed in June and September of this year. The criminals used a high-displacement motorcycle to quickly escape the scene after committing the crime.
During the inquiries, Civil Guard agents managed to identify the motorcycle involved in the robberies, which turned out to be a stolen unit, and it was located in central Madrid.
Legal Consequences
Finally, on October 8, the two men were arrested, facing three charges of robbery with violence and intimidation, as well as a charge of vehicle theft and a charge against road safety.
Once presented before the judicial authority, their imprisonment was ordered. For more information, you can contact the Peripheral Communication Office of the Madrid Command at the phone numbers 91 807 39 02 and 696 909 741.
