A group of members from the Official College of Veterinarians of Málaga will visit Villa Antíopa, the Cueva del Tesoro, and Benagalbón on Saturday, September 19, as part of the Route of the Sun and the Avocado, declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia.
The Town Hall of Rincón de la Victoria is participating alongside the Association for the Tourist Promotion of Axarquía (APTA) and the Official College of Veterinarians of Málaga in the visit that a group of members will make to the municipality on Saturday September 19, as part of the Route of the Sun and the Avocado.
The day will start at 12:15 PM with a guided tour of Villa Antíopa, one of the best-preserved and museum-like Roman villas in Andalusia. At 1:00 PM, the programme will continue at the Cueva del Tesoro, the only marine-origin cave open to visitors in Europe.
Afterwards, participants will move to Benagalbón to learn about its architecture and cultural identity, with a lunch planned for 2:15 PM that will highlight local cuisine.
The Councillor for Tourism, Antonio José Martín, has pointed out that this type of collaboration helps to advance the promotion of local tourism and to generate synergies between municipalities and entities in the region.
“Hosting this visit from the Official College of Veterinarians of Málaga is a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of our most unique resources like Villa Antíopa or the Cueva del Tesoro,” said the mayor, Francisco Salado.
Salado also focused on Benagalbón: “Our traditional centres are an essential part of the identity of Rincón de la Victoria and allow visitors to discover another way of understanding our municipality, linked to our traditions, our architecture, our gastronomy, and our way of life.”
The activity is organised by APTA in collaboration with the Official College of Veterinarians of Málaga and the town halls of Rincón de la Victoria and Macharaviaya, which is also part of the route.
