The programme for the Málaga Fair 2026 includes nearly 200 musical and artistic shows, all with free entry. The councillor for Operational Services, Beaches, and Festivals, Teresa Porras, presented the poster on Monday at an event with some of the participating artists.
Confirmed names include Antonio Carmona, Diana Navarro, Zenet, Medina Azahara, David de María, Nancys Rucias, and Paloma San Basilio. Other performers will include Encarni Navarro, Tabletom, Hoffman, Tonia Rodríguez, and Ana Romma, among others.
The majority of the artists are from Málaga, reinforcing the City Council's commitment to local talent. Over a thousand artists will participate in various disciplines, also contributing to the promotion of the city and boosting economic activity, employment, and tourism.
The performances will take place across nine stages: Municipal Auditorium, Flamenco and Copla Municipal Tent, Children's Municipal Tent, Verdiales Tent, Popular Málaga Folklore Stage, Equestrian Exhibition Centre, Youth Esplanade, and squares in the Historic Centre.
At the Flamenco and Copla Tent, flamenco will be featured daily with singers like José de Chaparro, Chato de Málaga, Vanesa Fernández, and Manuel de la Curra. It will also host the VII Flamenco Dance Festival of Málaga Schools and the final of the XIX Spanish Song Contest Ciudad de Málaga.
The centre will feature flamenco at the Peña Juan Breva starting at 15:00, with artists like Gema Garcés, Chato de Vélez, Bonela, and Pepe de Campillos. Verdiales will have their space at the Cortijo de Torres tent from 22:00 to 03:00, and on Calle Larios from 13:00 to 17:00, with groups like San Isidro de Periana and Raíces de Almogía.
Popular Málaga folklore will be showcased on Calle Larios with dance academies and choirs like Con Málaga por Bandera and Siempre Cañadú, from 12:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:00. The squares of Constitución, Las Flores, Obispo, and San Pedro Alcántara will have musical entertainment from 13:00 to 18:00.
The Equestrian Exhibition Centre will offer shows like 'Málaga Dreams on Horseback' or 'Between Jábegas and Horses' at 16:00 and 22:00, in addition to the XXIII Equestrian Costume and Tack Contest on Tuesday 18. The Youth Esplanade will host DJ sessions starting at 22:00.
The Plaza de Toros de La Malagueta will celebrate its bullfighting fair at 19:00 with figures like Morante de la Puebla, Diego Urdiales, and Roca Rey, highlighting the bullfight for the 150th anniversary of the venue on Saturday, August 22.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Magical Fair, with children's shows at the municipal tent of the Real de Cortijo de Torres from August 15 to 22 at 21:30, featuring companies like Vibralto, Esfera Teatro, and Mago Luigi.
