The Málaga Fair 2026 will feature nearly 200 free shows, including Antonio Carmona, Diana Navarro, and Medina Azahara. Councillor Teresa Porras has presented a programme for all audiences.
The capital of Málaga is finalising preparations for its grand week. The Málaga Fair 2026, which will take place from 15 to 22 August, will bring together nearly 200 musical and artistic performances, with free entry to all concerts, as confirmed by the Councillor for Festivals, Teresa Porras.
The Cortijo de Torres auditorium will host big names from the national scene such as Antonio Carmona, Diana Navarro, Zenet, Medina Azahara, David de María, Nancys Rubias, and Paloma San Basilio. Other performers will include Encarni Navarro, Tabletom, Hoffman, Tonia Rodríguez, and Ana Romma, among others.
Porras presented the programme accompanied by several participating artists and emphasised that the offering is designed "for all audiences" and that all concerts will have free entry. The councillor highlighted the variety of styles, which includes everything from flamenco to verdiales, as well as popular folklore and electronic music.
Flamenco, Verdiales, and Folklore
The Municipal Flamenco and Copla Tent will offer daily performances from leading figures in the genre, including José de Chaparro, Chato de Málaga, Vanesa Fernández, Manuel de la Curra, Amparo Heredia, Ana Fargas, Alejandro Estrada, Isabel Soto, Rocío Alcalá, Miguel Astorga, Elena Pino "La Cuqui", Rocío López "La Boterita", Chelo Soto, and Rosa Linero.
The Verdiales tent, also at the Cortijo de Torres, will have performances from 22:00 to 03:00 featuring the Montes, Almogía, and Comares styles. On Calle Larios, the groups will perform from 13:00 to 17:00, including San Isidro de Periana, Primera de Benagalbón, Raíces de Almogía, and Montes de Guadalmedina.
Popular folklore will also have its space on Calle Larios, with academies and choirs such as Con Málaga por Bandera, Siempre Cañadú, Aire de Renfe, Malacca Fussion, and the Academy of Susana Sta. Paula, performing from 12:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:00.
Equestrian Shows and Bullfighting Fair
The Equestrian Exhibition Centre, located in the Real (Calle Antonio Rodríguez Sánchez, 39), will offer daily shows at 16:00 and 22:00, with proposals such as "Málaga Dreams on Horseback", "Between Jábegas and Horses", and "The Equestrian Rhythm of Málaga".
The La Malagueta Bullring will celebrate its bullfighting fair at 19:00 with Morante de la Puebla, Diego Urdiales, Fortes, Emilio de Justo, Manuel Escribano, and Roca Rey. On Saturday, 22 August, the 150th anniversary of the bullring will be commemorated with a special bullfight.
Youth and Magical Fair
The Youth Esplanade will host DJ sessions from 22:00, while the Municipal Children's Tent at the Cortijo de Torres will offer performances from 15 to 22 August at 21:30. The Plaza de la Merced will host the Magical Fair "From Earth to the Moon. 30th Anniversary", from 12:00 to 15:30.
For the residents of the province, the Málaga Fair is an unmissable event: all concerts are free and the programme is spread across the Real de Cortijo de Torres, Calle Larios, and Plaza de la Merced, with schedules ranging from noon to dawn. Entry to all shows is free until capacity is reached.
