The event 'Málaga in Transformation: The New General Plans' brings together urban planning experts this Friday to evaluate the impact of the LISTA and the future PGOM of the capital. The mayor, Francisco de la Torre, and the councillor Rocío Díaz will speak at the opening.

The AC Hotel by Marriott Málaga Palacio hosts this Friday, starting at 9:30 am, the event 'Málaga in Transformation: The New General Plans', a meeting that analyses how urban planning in the province has evolved since the enactment of the Law for the Promotion of the Sustainability of the Territory of Andalusia (LISTA) five years ago. According to Diario Sur, this event is organised by this media outlet with the sponsorship of the Municipal Urban Planning Management of the Málaga City Council and the collaboration of the Ministry of Housing, Youth and Territorial Planning of the Junta de Andalucía.

The opening will feature speeches from the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the councillor for Housing, Youth and Territorial Planning, Rocío Díaz, preceded by a welcome from the director of Diario Sur, Javier Recio. The event can be followed live on SUR.es.

The first round table will address the new model of territorial and urban planning implemented with the LISTA, as well as the process of developing a new general plan for the city of Madrid. Participants will include the professor of Administrative Law at the Complutense University of Madrid José María Baño León; the legal deputy director of the office of the new General Urban Planning Plan of Madrid, María Cristina Goncer Gómez; and the general director of Territorial Planning, Urbanism and Urban Agenda of the Junta de Andalucía, Francisco Javier Díaz Pérez.

The second table will focus on the status of the processing of the new Municipal General Planning Plan (PGOM) of Málaga. Speakers will include the manager of the Municipal Urban Planning Management, José María Morente del Monte; the president of the Association of Builders and Promoters, Juan Manuel Rosillo; and the municipal architect Francisco Martín Nieto.
