The Local Security Board addresses the shootings in Barcenillas, Muelle 1, and calle Jara and requests clarity on the number of agents from the Costa del Sol Plan and the night agents. The City Council has not received the figure.
The Local Security Board of Málaga met this Wednesday in an extraordinary and urgent session to analyse the violent incidents involving firearms recorded in the city, including those that occurred in Barcenillas, Muelle 1, and calle Jara, as well as the situation of drug trafficking on the Costa del Sol.
Participants in the meeting included the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre; the councillors for Security and the Central District, Avelino Barrionuevo and Francisco Cantos; the Government subdelegate in Málaga, Javier Salas, and commanders from the Local Police, National Police, Civil Guard, and Regional Police.
The City Council has requested to know the number of personnel that make up the reinforcement of the Costa del Sol Plan in the city and how many agents serve during night hours within the ordinary operation. This figure was not specified during the meeting.
Another issue discussed was the action of the Local Police and the lack of timely collaboration from the National Police to prevent the installation of tents during the unauthorised demonstration on Monday, September 28 as it passed through plaza de la Constitución.
Despite the differences, the meeting highlighted the willingness to maintain maximum collaboration among the security forces, according to the Málaga City Council.
