Vox has requested that the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, reinforce resources to address the succession of violent episodes recorded in Málaga. The party reports six shootings occurring in just one month, with three murders and several injuries, according to Diario Sur.
The Vox deputy in the Andalusian Parliament, Antonio Sevilla, has pointed out that Andalucía is experiencing "a succession of episodes of violence and crime: shootings, stabbings, and homicides." Regarding the capital of Málaga, he considers the situation "concerning" due to the concentration of incidents in recent weeks.

The complaint arises after the Ministry of the Interior has strengthened police presence in Málaga capital. This Friday, the Costa del Sol Plan against organised crime and common delinquency went into operation, with controls at various points in the city and the participation of agents from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP), the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), canine units, and aerial resources.
The operation includes controls in commercial, leisure, and residential areas, as well as police reinforcements from other departments in Eastern Andalucía.
Among the episodes that have marked recent weeks is the crime in Barcenillas, where a young man was shot dead in an attack that police investigations suggest may have been a case of mistaken identity.
Vox argues that the government's response is insufficient and accuses Marlaska of failing to provide "the material, human, and legal resources required to ensure a safe Andalucía." The criticisms extend to incidents recorded in Huelva, Cádiz, Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba, and Jaén.
The party has already announced this week that it will submit questions to Congress regarding the recent shootings and will demand an increase in the staffing of the State Security Forces and Corps.
