MÁLAGA, 27 OCTOBER 2026. The health centres Colonia Santa Inés-Teatinos and Alhaurín el Grande have carried out a series of activities related to healthy eating over the past two weeks, as part of World Food Day.
These initiatives, organised by the Málaga-Valle del Guadalhorce Health District, have seen the participation of approximately 150 people, including citizens, patients, and health professionals. Two informational tables and four workshops focused on the consumption of seasonal products have been held.
Activities to Promote Healthy Habits
Participants have had access to relevant information about strategies and programmes that encourage a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, a tasting of seasonal products has sparked the interest of attendees.
The activities have been coordinated by family nurses from the health centres and have received support from the Territorial Delegation of Health and Consumption of Málaga, as well as the Guadalhorce Rural Development Group.
Commitment to Sustainable Eating
This series of activities is part of the Healthy Living Strategy of Andalusia, specifically in the lines that promote healthy habits in health centres and the creation of alliances with economic operators in the food sector.
World Food Day 2022, under the slogan 'Innovate today to nourish tomorrow', focused on the importance of innovation in agriculture and other sectors to achieve inclusive and sustainable agri-food systems. This event aims to address issues such as climate change and food waste, in order to facilitate access to a healthy diet for all.
