The 19th stage of the Vuelta Ciclista a España passes through Málaga city this Friday, 11th September. Traffic disruptions begin at 11:30 hours and the peloton will pass through the centre around 12:30.
The Vuelta Ciclista a España arrives in Málaga city this Friday, 11th September, with the 19th stage starting from Vélez-Málaga and finishing in Estepona. The route crosses the Este, Centre, and West districts of the city, according to Diario Sur.
The race is expected to pass through the capital from 12:40 hours along the Carretera de Almería, with an estimated duration of half an hour. However, traffic disruptions will be in effect from 11:30 hours on all affected roads and will be progressively restored as the convoy moves forward.
The urban itinerary includes avenida Juan Sebastián Elcano, avenida Pintor Joaquín Sorolla, Paseo Marítimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Cánovas del Castillo, plaza General Torrijos, Paseo del Parque, Alameda Principal, avenida de Andalucía, avenida Blas Infante, and the A-357 towards the Estación de Cártama. The promotional caravan will arrive at Paseo del Parque approximately an hour and a quarter before the first cyclist.
The EMT has reported that all its lines will be affected, except for 15, 18, 22, 27, and 28, both in routes and in stops and schedules, depending on the disruptions established by the Local Police. The company recommends checking its mobile app for service status.
As an alternative, it is advised to use the ring roads and avoid the area through which the event takes place.
