Málaga, 11 September 2026. The Junta de Andalucía has launched the Early Detection Programme for Breast Cancer in Campanillas. This initiative aims to facilitate preventive mammograms for women in the locality.
Programme Details
The Mobile Unit of the programme will be at number 15 Praga Street (fairgrounds) until 14 October. During this period, it is expected to attend to all women summoned for breast cancer screening, thus improving their access to this essential service.
The initiative seeks to offer an alternative to women living in remote areas from the fixed units available in health centres, such as Puerta Blanca, La Roca, and Colonia Santa Inés-Teatinos. As in previous years, high participation in the programme is anticipated.
Call to Users
From the Valle de Guadalhorce District, women aged between 49 and 71 residing in Campanillas are invited to verify that they have received their appointment for the mammogram. This programme, promoted by the Ministry of Presidency, Health and Emergencies, offers women in this age group the opportunity to have a mammogram every two years.
Participants are notified by letter, and the results of the examination are also sent by post. They can also check through ClicSalud+. If further tests are required, users will receive a letter with a new appointment at their reference hospital.
For any inquiries, appointment changes, or additional requests, interested parties can contact 677007017 or send an email to info@cribadoenandalucia.es.
