The Málaga Provincial Council opens ticket sales for visiting the gorge from December 7 to May 2, 2027, this Wednesday at 10:00. The general price remains at 10 euros.
The Caminito del Rey opens ticket sales this Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 AM for visits between December 7 and May 2, 2027. The Málaga Provincial Council will make available to the public approximately 190,000 tickets, as reported by Diario Sur.
Tickets can be purchased on the Caminito website and are available for the general public, organised tours, and travel agencies. Winter visiting hours will be from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, extending to 5:30 PM in spring starting from March 28.
The general admission price remains at 10 euros, with a limit of ten tickets per buyer. The official guided tour costs 18 euros and is conducted in Spanish and English for groups of up to 30 people.
Children under eight years old are not allowed to access the Caminito. From that age, they must provide proof of age with the original ID or the Family Book, and visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The visitor reception centre is located in the municipality of Ardales. It has a parking area with capacity for 240 vehicles at a price of 2 euros for the whole day, payable online when purchasing the ticket. It is recommended to park at least one hour in advance. A shuttle bus departs from the parking area to the Caminito; the ticket costs 2.50 euros and is valid for the entire day. It can be purchased on the website or paid directly in cash to the driver.
Additionally, visitors will be able to walk across the new 110-metre hanging bridge, the longest of its kind in Spain, which opened to the public on June 9. The structure is installed just before reaching the area above the iron train bridge and the El Chorro tunnel, creating an alternative route in the final stretch of the Caminito that saves visitors nearly a kilometre of descent.
