Alhaurín el Grande unveils the lineup for its 43rd Noche Flamenca, featuring stars Marina Heredia, El Pele and La Lupi, with tickets already on sale.

The municipality of Alhaurín el Grande has officially launched the 43rd edition of its Noche Flamenca Villa de Alhaurín el Grande, presenting the poster and artist lineup for the summer's key flamenco event in the province of Málaga. The event will take place on 25 July at the Patio Diego Pérez of the CEIP Emilia Olivares school.

During a ceremony at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, local officials, peñas flamencas, and residents gathered to hear the details. The night will feature Marina Heredia, one of the most prominent voices in contemporary flamenco; El Pele, a legendary cantaor respected nationwide; and the cuadro flamenco de La Lupi, a renowned bailaora known for her powerful and elegant performances. Guitarists Niño Seve and Manuel Valencia will accompany them.

The official poster was created by Alhaurín-born artist Juan Pablo Rueda. It depicts the parish tower illuminated by a full moon alongside a dancer in mid-motion, capturing the passion and identity of the festival. Flamenco journalist Lourdes Gálvez gave a masterful overview of the event's history and the artists, with guitarist Andrés Cansino providing musical accompaniment.

Councilor for Culture Marina Maldonado highlighted the importance of maintaining this cultural landmark, which attracts enthusiasts from across the province. Mayor Anthony Bermúdez emphasized the council's commitment to preserving and promoting flamenco, one of Andalusia's most significant art forms. The event also involves local entities such as the Peña Unión Flamenca Alhaurina and the Asociación Peña Hargasfal, which work year-round to spread flamenco culture.

The Noche Flamenca has been held for over four decades, solidifying its reputation as a premier flamenco event in Andalusia. This year's edition continues the tradition of bringing together established and emerging talents. Marina Heredia, for instance, is celebrated for her fusion of traditional flamenco with modern influences, while El Pele remains a living legend of cante jondo. La Lupi's innovative choreography promises to blend strength and elegance.

Tickets are available at 15 euros through giglon.com and at the Municipal Library. Organizers expect a full house, as past editions have drawn large crowds. The event underscores Alhaurín el Grande's role as a cultural hub in the Valle del Guadalhorce region, drawing visitors from Málaga and beyond.

In recent years, the festival has adapted to include younger audiences while preserving its core traditions. The 2026 lineup reflects a balance between revered figures and contemporary artists, ensuring the Noche Flamenca remains relevant. The Patio Diego Pérez venue offers an intimate setting under the summer sky, enhancing the experience. The concert will begin at 9:00 PM, with doors opening one hour earlier.

The Noche Flamenca is not just a concert but a celebration of local identity, supported by the community and peñas flamencas that keep the art form alive. As the event approaches, Alhaurín el Grande prepares to welcome aficionados for a night of authentic flamenco.
