The IX Night Route of the Perseids in Triana raises 1,600 euros for the Valeriana Association, a mental health entity. The donation was delivered this Friday at the Vélez-Málaga Town Hall.
The ninth edition of the Night Route of the Perseids in Triana has raised 1,600 euros which have already been delivered to the Valeriana Association, an entity that works in the field of mental health. The delivery was formalised this Friday at the Vélez-Málaga Town Hall.
Participating in the event were the Deputy Mayor of Triana, Lourdes Piña; the organiser of the route and representative of 'Triana, Heart of the Axarquía', Francisco Javier Medina; and Juan Ramón Martos, representing the Valeriana Association, accompanied by other members of the entity.
The funds come from the registration fees for the route, held on August 10, as well as donations from residents and participants and contributions received through Bizum.
Francisco Javier Medina expressed gratitude for the collaboration of everyone involved.
“We are very pleased to be able to deliver this 1,600 euros to Valeriana. Behind this amount are many people who participated in the route, who collaborated and who wanted to contribute their bit”
For her part, the Deputy Mayor of Triana emphasised the response from residents and the solidarity nature of the event.
“The Perseids Route is already a beloved event in Triana, but we are especially pleased that in addition to enjoying such a special night, we can turn it into an opportunity to help others”
Piña also thanked the work of Medina and those who make the route possible, as well as the work carried out by the Valeriana Association.
From the entity, Juan Ramón Martos thanked the donation and the involvement of the participants. The association has valued this type of collaboration to support its work in mental health and to raise awareness of a reality that affects many people and families.
