The City Council of Antequera has announced the musical programme for the Real Feria de Agosto, which will take place from August 19 to 23. Decai, No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, Juan Magán, Falete and other artists will perform.
The City Council of Antequera revealed this Wednesday the programme of free concerts for the Real Feria de Agosto 2026, which will be held from August 19 to 23. The mayor, Manolo Barón, and the deputy mayor of Major Festivals, Elena Melero, presented a lineup that includes names such as Decai, No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, El Duende Callejero, Juan Magán, Falete, Joana Jiménez and Raya Real.
The event will kick off on Wednesday, August 19, with a performance by Decai, a group celebrating its twentieth anniversary with a tour that stops in Antequera. They will offer the best-known songs from their flamenco pop repertoire, a style that has marked their trajectory since the early 2000s.
On Thursday, August 20, it will be the turn of No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, a well-established band that has been the soundtrack for several generations with their mix of rumba and festive pop. Their live performance promises to liven up the Antequera fairgrounds.
On Friday, August 21, the fair will feature a double act. On one side, Raya Real will perform at the Paseo Real during the Day Fair, with sevillanas, rumbas and versions designed for the daytime atmosphere. At night, El Duende Callejero will take over the fairgrounds with their contemporary and fresh flamenco.
One of the highlights will arrive on Saturday, August 22, with Juan Magán, an internationally renowned artist and author of hits like 'Bailando por el mundo' or 'Te voy a esperar'. His performance is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated of the edition.
The grand finale will be on Sunday, August 23, with Falete and Joana Jiménez, two voices of copla and flamenco who will offer a joint show. It will be a more intimate and emotional performance, starting after the traditional closing fireworks display.
The concerts at the fairgrounds will begin at 00:00 hours, except for Sunday’s, which will start after the fireworks show. All performances are free and open to the public.
Elena Melero highlighted the work of the Major Festivals Area in creating an attractive programme within the available budget. “Every year it becomes more complicated to find artists who can participate in free fair concerts due to the level we maintain,” she noted. The councillor invited locals and visitors to enjoy the performances and the rest of the activities.
For his part, Manolo Barón congratulated the team on a programme he described as “complete and well-rounded, for all tastes and all ages.” He emphasised the variety of styles: from proposals for young people to music from established groups, sevillanas, flamenco, international music and copla. “The city is ready and the work is done so that we can once again enjoy a complete programme of free music that is open to all,” concluded the mayor.
The Real Feria de Agosto in Antequera is one of the most important festive events in the region, with over five centuries of history. The free musical offer complements traditional events such as the procession of the Virgen del Consuelo, the day fair and the booths. The people of Antequera and tourists will be able to enjoy a lineup that combines local and national artists at no cost.
