The national client is the third nationality in sales of the Mare development by Taylor Wimpey Spain in San Pedro Alcántara, where Russians lead with 18% of transactions.
The Spanish buyer is consolidating as one of the main players in the new housing market on the Costa del Sol, according to the latest data from Taylor Wimpey Spain. In their Mare development, located in San Pedro Alcántara, the national client represents 13% of transactions, ranking as the third nationality in a project that has attracted buyers from up to 28 countries.
Russians top the list with 18% of sales, followed by Spaniards, and then Danes and Poles. The company highlights that, although international buyers account for nearly 90% of transactions on the Costa del Sol, no single nationality holds a dominant share, reflecting a diversified market.
Marc Pritchard, Sales and Marketing Director of Taylor Wimpey Spain, notes that "the data shows a very diversified market, where the international buyer continues to hold significant weight, but where the Spanish client maintains a prominent position." The presence of national buyers among the top three nationalities in various areas of the Mediterranean coast confirms, according to Pritchard, "the appeal of the coast also for national demand."
Across the company's developments on the Mediterranean coast, the Spanish client ranks first in the Costa Blanca, second in Mallorca, and third in the Costa del Sol. These figures reflect an upward trend of national buyers, who have been gaining prominence in recent months.
Mare is located in Nueva Alcántara, the expansion area of San Pedro Alcántara towards the coastline, just four minutes' walk from the promenade, three minutes from the urban centre, and five minutes by car from Puerto Banús. The development offers walking access to shops, restaurants, sports facilities, and public transport.
Following the sale of almost all the homes, the last two penthouses, with four bedrooms, featuring terraces of over 110 square metres and sea views, remain available. Both properties are ready to move in and can be visited through the show flat set up by the developer.
International demand remains predominant on the Costa del Sol, but the Spanish buyer shows a growing interest in new housing in the area, especially in luxury projects like Mare. The combination of location, services, and quality of the developments attracts both foreign investors and nationals looking for a second home or a permanent residence on the Málaga coast.
For those interested in acquiring one of the last units, the developer recommends contacting their sales team to arrange a visit to the show flat, where the finishes and views of the homes can be appreciated.
