The deadline to register in the Demandants' Registry and apply for the 25 protected homes in Arroyo Palomera ends on October 1. The public draw will take place before the year is over.
The Marbella City Council plans to hold the public draw for the 25 protected homes in Arroyo Palomera, located in the Golden Mile, before the end of the year. The deadline to register in the Demandants' Registry to be eligible for these properties concludes on October 1, as reported by the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz.
Of the total homes, half will be allocated to young people, while the rest will be offered at a limited price. One home will be reserved for people with reduced mobility and another for individuals with other disabilities.
The residential complex will feature landscaped areas, a swimming pool, garages, and storage rooms. The homes will have three bedrooms and areas ranging from 74 to 86 square meters, distributed across a three-storey block.
Once the registration period closes on October 1, the City Council will publish a provisional list, followed by a definitive one before the public draw takes place.
Currently, the Demandants' Registry has 3,899 registered, of which 2,345 are young people under 35 years old. Additionally, 34 correspond to individuals with reduced mobility and 168 to citizens with other disabilities.
“This is great news that fits into the planning being developed by the City Council in this area,” Muñoz stated, indicating that “we already have 500 homes completed or under construction, and our goal is to promote another 700, so we would be talking about around 1,200 properties, a number we want to continue expanding in the future.”
The mayor also highlighted the financial support planned to facilitate access to this promotion: each successful applicant will receive a municipal aid of 10,000 euros, along with an additional 6,000 euros provided by the developer.
Muñoz has called on all interested individuals who meet the requirements to “review their situation in the Demandants' Registry and complete the necessary procedures to apply for these properties.”
This new development comes just days after the laying of the first stone in San Pedro Alcántara for the construction of another 172 protected homes for rent.
