The Government delegate of the Junta of Andalucía in Málaga, Patricia Navarro, has emphasized her administration's commitment to protecting teachers in the face of violence in educational institutions. During a visit to IES Los Montecillos in Coín, Navarro expressed her complete rejection of violence in the school environment.
The visit came after an incident in which the principal and a teacher at the school suffered verbal and physical assaults from the parents of a student. Navarro, accompanied by the territorial delegate of Education Miguel Briones, the mayor of Coín, Francisco Santos, and the councillor for Culture and Education, Alba Guzmán, showed her support for the educational team.
Commitment to Teacher Authority
The delegate stressed that the protection of teachers is a priority for the Andalusian Government, materialized in the development of the Law on Recognition of Teacher Authority. Navarro indicated that
