Among the players returning from the previous campaign, Tahiru Awudu, Tomi Guzmán, and Marcos Olguin were part of the group. They were joined by new signings: Pito Camacho, Víctor Mena, Lanchi, Dani Fernández, and Bloch. The winger Ernest Ohemeng, who remains at the club, did not participate as he has not yet arrived in the city.
Coach Antonio Calderón has formed a completely new coaching staff. He is joined by José Miguel Ramírez as assistant coach, Edu Peña as fitness coach, and Ángel Palencia as goalkeeper coach. José Manuel Carrasco, who was part of the previous staff, remains with the club but is currently on paternity leave. Juan Ruiz continues as the equipment manager and Santi Moreno as the delegate.
The session, which lasted approximately an hour and a half, had the ball as the main focus. The players performed possession and circulation exercises, showing a very positive attitude. About twenty fans gathered at Luis Teruel to witness the first training session of the season.
Among the notable absentees is Jaime Santos, one of the announced signings, who arrived in Marbella after the session had already concluded. The winger Ernest Ohemeng was also absent, as he has not yet joined. The club hopes both will join the group in the coming days.
To complete the squad in this first week, Marbella has called upon several youth players, such as Vasile and Dani Pineda, who debuted with the first team last season. Additionally, several trial players participated in the session, which will be common during the initial weeks of training.
The team will train in the evenings during this first week, which is unusual for their regular schedule. Luis Teruel is set to be the main venue for training this season, according to this newspaper.
The Marbella pre-season comes after a campaign in which the team competed in Segunda División B. The goal for this season is to improve on previous results and establish themselves in the category. The fans, who have already shown their support at the first training, hope the squad will be completed soon to start working with all players.
Antonio Calderón, who has previously managed the team, knows the club well. His experience will be key in integrating the new players and shaping a team that, as has been reported, will aim to be proactive with the ball.
The next training session is scheduled for this Tuesday, also in the evening at Luis Teruel. More players, both signings and youth players, are expected to join in the coming days to complete the working group.
