Marbella completed its first pre-season session on Monday at Luis Teruel Aguilar. Antonio Calderón led 16 outfield players and three goalkeepers, with several new faces and youth team players.
Marbella has kicked off the 2026-2027 pre-season. The white-and-blue squad trained for the first time under Antonio Calderón at the Luis Teruel Aguilar stadium, with a group consisting of 16 outfield players and three goalkeepers.
The session was marked by the presence of numerous new faces. Among the players who completed the training were Marcos Olguin, Lanchi, Víctor Mena, Tomi, Tahiru, Dani Jiménez, and Pito Camacho, along with the new goalkeeper Florentin Bloch. Several trial players and youth team members also participated, such as Cristian Vasile, Cosano, Dani Pineda, and Adrián, as well as Shein and Moro, who have completed their time with the reserve team.
One absentee was Ernest Ohemeng, who has yet to join the group. The Ghanaian forward is awaiting travel from his country to join the squad in the coming days. Jaime Santos was present, having had an initial meeting with the management and coaching staff.
Pito Camacho, one of the players expected to take on a leadership role in the dressing room, was very active during the session, seeking to integrate the newcomers. The training was largely coordinated by Calderón's assistants, with constant ball contact and a half-pitch match at the end to raise the tempo.
The Marbella management plans to continue adding players throughout the week. The aim is to finish the week with a minimum of 15 professional registrations. The signing of Mohamed Mizzian has not yet been officially announced, although the forward has reached an agreement with the club and his signing is pending contract formalisation.
The first pre-season friendly is scheduled for August 15 against Algeciras. So far, it has not been confirmed if there will be any other preparation matches next week. All sessions this week are scheduled for 19:00 at Luis Teruel Aguilar.
Present at the first training were CEO José Trujillo and General Director Bernardo Espinosa, reflecting institutional support for the new project. José Manuel Carrasco continues in the coaching staff for another year, alongside the new members who accompany Calderón.
Marbella approaches this pre-season with the hope of competing at the highest level and the need to form a solid unit with many new additions. The fans expect to see a competitive team that can fight for the set objectives.
