La Noche Viva Fuengirola returns this Saturday, August 1, with an edition themed around the 80s. 80 establishments are participating, and the Suomi square in Los Pacos is a new addition.
La Noche Viva Fuengirola will once again fill the streets of the municipality this Saturday, August 1, with an edition inspired by the 1980s. The event will take place from 20:00 to 02:00 and will feature the participation of 80 commercial and hospitality establishments, a number that exceeds previous editions, according to the councillors for Fiestas and Commerce, Isabel Moreno and Javier García Lara.
During the presentation, both councillors highlighted the increasing involvement of the local commercial fabric. García Lara noted that La Noche Viva has established itself as a showcase for local commerce and an opportunity to boost the summer economy. "Each edition sees greater involvement from the sector," he indicated.
This year's theme revolves around the 80s, an iconic era in music, fashion, and popular culture. Attendees will be able to enjoy a festive and family-friendly atmosphere, with musical performances, entertainment, and shows spread across various locations in the municipality.
As a main new feature, this edition incorporates the Suomi square, located in the Los Pacos neighbourhood, which joins the usual spaces: plazas de España, Punta Umbría, Reyes Católicos, Constitución, Hispanidad, and Pedro Cuevas, as well as the Parque del Sol, the Marina, and the streets España, Martínez Catena, San Rafael, Palangreros, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Camino de Coín, Camilo José Cela, Camino de Santiago, and the Avenida Condes de San Isidro.
To facilitate mobility, the City Council has announced that the urban bus will be free for all users from 19:00 on Saturday until 04:30 on Sunday. From 00:30 only the night bus of line 1 will be operational. Additionally, a 50% discount will be applied to the price of several municipal car parks during the same hours, provided payment is made at the counter. The included car parks are: Cine Alfil (Camilo José Cela street), Plaza de España, Plaza de la Constitución, Marina, and Las Rampas.
Municipal officials have encouraged residents and visitors to participate in this great celebration of local commerce and to take the opportunity to shop and enjoy the culinary offerings. "Come out to support our establishments, which have been working for years to provide us with quality and professionalism," Moreno and García Lara stated.
