The Town Hall of Casares allocates 5,000 euros to subsidise the purchase of books for the 2026/2027 academic year. The call, published in the BOP, allows one month for submitting applications.

Students of high school, vocational training, and university studies enrolled in public centres in Casares can now apply for municipal aid of 100 euros per student for the purchase of books for the 2026/2027 academic year. The call was published on 17 September in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Málaga (BOP), and the application period will remain open for one calendar month from that date.

The municipal budget allocated for these subsidies is 5,000 euros, as stated in the call. The aid is granted per student and is intended for cycles where the books are not covered by other administrations.

To qualify for the subsidy, several requirements must be met: being registered in Casares for at least twelve months, being enrolled in one of the included studies, and proving the economic conditions set out in the call. Applications will be evaluated based on family income, and in case of a tie, it will be resolved by the order of entry in the registry.

The documentation that must accompany the application includes an identity document, the income tax declaration of the family unit, course registration, and a bank ownership certificate.

Applications can be submitted at the General Registry of the Town Hall of Casares, at the mayor's offices in Casares Costa and El Secadero, or through the municipal electronic headquarters. The application form is available in municipal offices and on the electronic headquarters.
