The Town Hall of Casares launches a sensitisation programme on breast cancer with talks, a solidarity stall, and the lighting of the Castle. The first event is on Saturday 17 October with a walk.
The Town Hall of Casares opens on 17 October a breast cancer awareness programme that extends throughout the month. The first activity is the solidarity walk "El Secadero for Pink Flag", which departs at 11:30 hours from the plaza de Andalucía.
On 19 October, World Breast Cancer Day, the Castle of Casares will be illuminated in pink as a symbol of support for those affected. On the same day, a manifesto will be disseminated through social media.
On 23 October, there are two events. A solidarity stall from Pink Flag will be set up at the market, on the promenade of Carrera, from 10:00 hours. At 11:00 hours, the Senior Centre will host a talk on prevention and early detection, delivered by the Spanish Association Against Cancer and Pink Flag.
On 29 October, the activity "Informative Pill" will take place during the gerontogymnastics meeting in Secadero, with users from the three hubs of the municipality.
The programme is supported by Pink Flag and the Spanish Association Against Cancer, organisations that work to support affected individuals and raise social awareness.
