Casares inaugurates its big week with a programme that includes performances by Merche, No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, Jay Torres and Kevin Bury, as well as activities for seniors and children.
The Málaga town of Casares has begun its annual fair, one of the most anticipated events of the summer on the Costa del Sol. From this Monday until Sunday, the municipality offers a varied programme that combines music, tradition, and activities for all ages.
The pre-fair kicked off with the Seniors' Party, which included a concert by Las Carlotas and a tribute to two emblematic locals, Maribel and Antonio, recognised for their history and connection to the town. This emotional evening marked the start of a week full of events.
On Tuesday, the Municipal Dance School will host its festival, while Wednesday is dedicated to Children's Day. The little ones will enjoy a big water and foam party, as well as special prices on all attractions. The day will culminate with a concert by the group ¡No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas!, who will perform songs like Bolillón and ¿Y tú de quién eres?.
The official opening will take place on Thursday with the traditional parade and the crowning of the queen and ladies of the fair. From that moment on, the square will become a dance floor with the orchestras Sugar and Dynamic, who will liven up the nights until Sunday.
The most notable concerts will be concentrated in the Llano area. On Friday, Jay Torres and Kevin Bury will perform, while on Saturday, singer Merche will take the stage to deliver a live show featuring her greatest hits. These performances will be complemented by entertainment shows, themed parties, and other surprises.
The final touch will be provided by the Sunday Rociero, a day of togetherness enlivened by the groups A Compás and D’Repente Flamenco. With this programme, Casares aims to consolidate its fair as a festive reference in the region, attracting both locals and visitors.
The varied musical offerings and activities designed for all audiences make this fair an opportunity to enjoy the summer atmosphere on the Costa del Sol. Attendees will be able to taste local cuisine and participate in various recreational proposals.
