Mayor Juan Luis Villalón and Councillor Noelia Rodríguez participate in the Greencities Mayor's Forum to convey the municipality's needs in water, housing, waste and mobility.

The Casares Town Hall has participated in the meeting “Málaga, Global Metropolis”, held at the Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre as part of the Greencities fair. The day presented the conclusions of several months of work by the Territorial Commission and set new common objectives among administrations.

The mayor, Juan Luis Villalón, and the Councillor for the Environment, Noelia Rodríguez, then attended the Mayors' Forum, where the results presented were analysed and new goals were proposed. The process remains open to studying the needs of each territory and seeking shared solutions.

Among the issues addressed during the day were water, energy, industry, waste, housing and mobility. For Casares, the management of water, access to housing, waste and mobility are particularly relevant, as noted by the Town Hall itself.

“The municipality's presence at these types of meetings allows it to convey its needs, share proposals with other administrations, and participate in the planning of future projects,” officials from the Casares Town Hall indicate.

Casares' participation in this forum occurs within the Greencities fair, a space for coordination between municipalities and other administrations to address common challenges. The Town Hall has not yet specified what specific projects might arise from these meetings or the expected timelines.
