The mayor of Casares, Juan Luis Villalón, visited the renovation works on Los Naranjos street in the neighbourhood of Secadero on Tuesday, accompanied by members of the government team and municipal technicians. During the tour, he checked the state of the works and asked the construction company to finish the pavement of the first phase as soon as possible so that pedestrians can walk safely.
The Town Hall has requested a work schedule from the builder and a commitment that the project will be completed within the planned execution period. The works began four months ago and are expected to finish by early next year.
The government team considers it a priority to complete the pavement and services of the first phase, pending the final layer of surfacing, in order to immediately start the second phase. Meanwhile, the Town Hall wants to facilitate safer transit for residents in the area.
The renovation of the infrastructures on Los Naranjos street responds to a long-standing demand from residents. The project has a municipal investment of over 670,000 euros and will allow for an expansion of the stormwater drainage network and the renewal of supply infrastructures and other services, including water, electricity, internet, and telephone networks.
The project will improve the infrastructures of the Sotocolorado urbanisation. The Town Hall's intention is to continue promoting new projects that will help organise the various service networks and improve stormwater drainage in this residential area.
