The Villa de Nerja Cultural Centre will inaugurate its new season of shows on October 2 with a concert by local singer Nuria Fergó, who is celebrating 25 years on stage. The performance will be accompanied by piano and will have free entry.
Tickets can be collected at the Cultural Centre's box office until capacity is reached. The programme for the last quarter of the year strengthens theatrical performances, which will include five shows until the end of the year.
The season includes large-format shows that have been programmed on previous occasions, such as the opera “Madame Butterfly”, the ballet “Giselle”, and concerts by the New Symphony Orchestra.
As a new feature, the Cultural Centre will celebrate the World Tango Day for the first time, with a performance by the international group La Porteña. Flamenco will also take centre stage with singer Rocío Bazán, who will present her latest show featuring singing, dancing, and guitar.
The musical offerings will be complemented by jazz, blues, soul, Cuban son, classical music, and lyrical performances, along with concerts that will traverse styles and eras, from the music of The Beatles to the great classics. The programme is aimed at audiences of all ages.
The quarter also includes traditional events from the Nerja cultural calendar, such as the charity gala for the Friendship Workshop and the Christmas concerts by the Music Band and the Rondalla.
The Councillor for Culture, Ana María Muñoz, notes that the programme combines local artists with shows of national and international projection.

Tickets for the inaugural concert on October 2 can already be collected at the venue's box office until they run out.
