The Junta of Andalucía has launched the third call for the 'LGBTIfobia-free Space' Recognition, aimed at distinguishing entities and institutions that promote the human rights of LGTBI people. This programme is part of the diversity actions being carried out in the autonomous community.
Aims of the recognition
The distinction aims to highlight environments that act as safe spaces for LGTBI people, where equality, respect, and the absence of LGBTIfobia are guaranteed. Additionally, it seeks to raise social awareness about the prevention of violent acts against this group and to promote values of respect for sexual diversity.
Entities interested in obtaining this recognition must meet certain requirements, such as carrying out activities that promote the rights of equality and non-discrimination. They must also implement measures that ensure equal conditions in their cultural and recreational activities, preventing any form of prejudice or violence.
Deadlines and participation conditions
The deadline for submitting applications will begin the day after the order is published in the Official Bulletin of the Junta of Andalucía and will conclude on 29 October 2026. Those institutions that are recognised will be able to use a distinctive logo identifying them as an 'LGBTIfobia-free Space'.
Since its launch in 2024, this initiative has recognised a total of 134 entities, including 66 in the first edition and 68 in the second. This third call aims to continue promoting a more inclusive and safe environment for LGTBI people in Andalucía.
