Arrest in Navarra
On September 11, 2026, the Civil Guard arrested a man in Navarra for a crime against public health after discovering 478 kilos of hashish hidden in a truck. The intervention took place during a preventive operation on the AP-15, near Tiebas-Muruarte de Reta.
Action by the Civil Guard
The check was carried out at the toll on the AP-15 at 20:30 hours, where agents from the Citizen Security Unit and a member of the Canine Service conducted a check on a truck that apparently was not transporting any goods. However, the nervous behaviour of the driver caught the agents' attention, leading to a more detailed inspection.
During the review, Álex, a German shepherd dog specialised in drug detection, indicated the possible presence of narcotics in the lower area of the semi-trailer. The civil guards found 15 bags of hashish hidden under the truck's tipping body.
In total, 478 kilos of hashish were seized, including 113 kilos of a variety known as Ice-O-Lator. The drug had been packaged with several layers of materials to mask its smell, but it could not evade detection by the specialised dog.
The driver was arrested and the truck, along with the 478 kilos of hashish, was seized by the authorities. The investigation has been taken over by the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard in Navarra, which is responsible for the corresponding legal procedures.
