The Municipal School of Music and Dance in Ronda starts this Tuesday, September 15, with 276 enrolled students. The centre, in operation since 2000, is still accepting registrations for those who have not yet formalised their enrolment.
The Municipal School of Music and Dance in Ronda begins this Tuesday, September 15 the new academic year with 276 students enrolled. This was announced by the municipal delegate for Education, Cristina Durán, who encouraged those who have not yet formalised their enrolment to join the various offerings of the centre.
The educational offerings include lessons in piano, saxophone, trumpet, classical and electric guitar, percussion, and accordion, as well as music initiation and dance programmes for the youngest. In dance, classes are offered in classical, contemporary, and Spanish, rhythmic gymnastics, and body expression.
Students will also be able to participate in collective formations such as the Orchestra, the Big Band, the Saxophone Ensemble, and the Choir. The school has been operating since 2000 and conducts some of its activities at different locations throughout the city, not just in its facilities.
"I appreciate the trust of the families and we continue to work to resolve questions related to enrolments and schedules," Durán stated.
The Education Delegation remains committed to bringing musical and cultural activities to different neighbourhoods in Ronda throughout the year. Interested individuals can still join by contacting the centre to formalise their enrolment.
