The Vicente Espinel Municipal Theatre will host a new blood and plasma donation campaign on September 14, 15, and 16, the penultimate of the year in Ronda. The goal is to exceed 500 donations throughout 2026.
The Vicente Espinel Municipal Theatre in Ronda will be the venue for a new blood and plasma donation campaign on September 14, 15, and 16, from 10 AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM. The initiative was presented this Friday by the municipal delegate for Social Rights, Cristina Durán, and the president of Red Cross in Ronda, Antonio Lasanta.
Lasanta explained that this will be the penultimate campaign of the year in the city and that the aim is to exceed 500 donations throughout 2026. The head of the Red Cross highlighted the solidarity of the people of Ronda, especially the involvement of young people as donors, which helps maintain the donation rate in the municipality.
“It is commendable to maintain this level,” said Lasanta.
The Málaga Centre for Transfusion, Tissues and Cells will send professionals to the theatre to assist all those who wish to donate during these three days.
For her part, the municipal delegate for Social Rights made a special appeal to young people. “There is an important changeover, but we want to make a special call to the youth; this blood gives life to those who need it,” said Durán, who thanked the work of Red Cross volunteers and all those involved in the campaign.
Those interested in donating can go to the Vicente Espinel Municipal Theatre on September 14, 15, and 16, during morning or afternoon hours, without the need for an appointment.
