The bullfight closing the Málaga bullfighting fair will gather livestock from Garcigrande, Torrealta, and Núñez del Cuvillo. Morante, Roca Rey, and David de Miranda will fight from 19:00.
The bullring of La Malagueta will conclude its fair subscription with a line-up that makes history. The commemorative bullfight for the 150th anniversary of the inauguration of the venue will bring together this Saturday bulls from Garcigrande, Torrealta, and Núñez del Cuvillo, three breeders that will share the fight in an event starting at 19:00 hours with live coverage from Canal Sur Televisión.
The distribution of the bulls, confirmed by the managing company, leaves a varied selection in terms of origins and presentations. Torrealta will fight the first, second, and sixth; Garcigrande will handle the fourth and fifth, while Núñez del Cuvillo will contribute a single specimen, the third, which was already listed as the first substitute in the bullfight last Thursday.
The line-up of matadors is led by Morante de la Puebla, Roca Rey, and David de Miranda, the latter making his second appearance in the Málaga subscription. The three will enter the ring with renowned teams, featuring names such as the picadors Germán González, Ángel Rivas, Sergio Molina, José Manuel Quinta, Rafael Carbonell, and Paco Félix, along with the banderilleros Fernando del Toro, Juan José Domínguez, José María Amores, Agustín de Espartinas, Francisco Durán 'Viruta', Paquito Algaba, Fernando Pereira, Cándido Ruiz, and Julio López.
The order of the fight, with their brands and weights, is as follows: 1. 'Ideado', black, 515 kilos, from Torrealta; 2. 'Triunfador', chestnut with markings, 561 kilos, from Torrealta; 3. 'Lamparito', light brown, 572 kilos, from Núñez del Cuvillo; 4. 'Espartano', black, 525 kilos, from Garcigrande; 5. 'Jorobado', dark brown, 560 kilos, from Garcigrande; and 6. 'Ropalarga', black, 545 kilos, from Torrealta. The substitutes include 'Algarrobito', from Torrealta, and 'Jergoso', from Núñez del Cuvillo.
In the box, Antonio Roche will preside, with Paco Arijo as artistic advisor and José Luis Monterroso as veterinary advisor. In the alley, Alicia Arroyo will serve as the government delegate.
This event marks the grand finale of a significant week in which La Malagueta has once again been the epicentre of Málaga's bullfighting enthusiasm. Attendees are advised to arrive early to avoid queues at the entrances, as a near-full house is expected for this historic bullfight.
