The Education Department of the Junta de Andalucía has announced that, from today until September 14, the application period is open to cover a total of 8,118 vacant places in Vocational Training in Málaga.

This process has been enabled for training cycles that have a full offer and do not have a waiting list. The majority of these vacancies correspond to basic levels, which have 3,383 places available. As for intermediate levels, 3,086 places are offered, and 1,649 in higher levels.

Distribution of vacant places

The professional families with the most available vacancies are as follows:

Administration and Management: 2,072 vacancies
Hospitality and Tourism: 1,181 vacancies
Computing and Communications: 844 vacancies
Agricultural: 767 vacancies
Sociocultural Services and Community: 561 vacancies

In the basic cycles, five training courses stand out with more than 200 places available: Administrative Services (670), Computing and Communications (487), Agro-gardening and Floral Arrangements (356), Cooking and Restoration (252), and Electricity and Electronics (232).

In the intermediate level, the Administrative Management cycle stands out with 999 vacancies. Other intermediate levels include: Care for Dependents (224), Cooking and Gastronomy (180), and Microcomputer Systems and Networks (135).

Application and allocation process

Interested individuals must submit the admission application preferably through the Virtual Secretary of the Andalusian centres. All interested parties who meet the access requirements will be able to apply for these places, including those who participated in the ordinary admission process.

On September 15, a second allocation of vacancies will be made along with the assignment of school places through a waiting list. Successful applicants will receive an SMS and will have 48 hours to accept or decline the place.

From now on, a new application period will open weekly, which will be updated until November 15, operating from Thursday to Monday. The allocation of places will take place every Tuesday, and if multiple applications are submitted, only the last one submitted will be valid.
