The Civil Guard dismantles an indoor plantation in Alhaurín de la Torre with 3,000 plants and 70 kilos of hashish. The three arrested, two men and a woman, have been placed in provisional custody.
The Civil Guard has arrested two men and a woman in Alhaurín de la Torre as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health for cultivation, production and trafficking of drugs, and for electricity fraud. The operation, named Nao2026, has led to the dismantling of an indoor greenhouse set up in the basement of a villa, as reported by the armed institute.
The investigation began after a strong smell of marijuana was detected in the residence of the arrested individuals, along with large air conditioning and ventilation systems and an unusually high electricity consumption, as noted by Diario Sur. The agents verified that the suspects were continuously travelling across several Spanish provinces in rental vehicles, which they changed frequently and within very short periods, and that they made international trips to destinations such as the United Kingdom and Dubai.
With the appropriate judicial authorization, the investigators searched the property and found that the basement had been transformed into an indoor plantation with professional equipment: ventilation, air conditioning, dehumidifiers, power transformers, high-power LED lights, and automated irrigation systems. To supply the high energy consumption, the arrested individuals had made an illegal connection to the public electricity grid.
During the operation, approximately 3,000 marijuana plants, 70 kilograms of buds and hashish pollen ready for distribution, large quantities of anabolic substances, and cash were seized. The three arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of the duty court in Málaga, which ordered their provisional imprisonment.
