Fifteen unemployed individuals from Antequera and its surrounding area have begun a 310-hour training programme in Logistics Management, driven by the Diputación de Málaga and the Ayuntamiento de Antequera.
Fifteen unemployed individuals from Antequera and its surrounding area have started a new training initiative in Logistics Management this week, framed within the EnRuta project of the Provincial Diputación of Málaga. The initiative, a result of the collaboration agreement between the Diputación and the Ayuntamiento of Antequera, aims to improve the employability of participants through a 310-hour theoretical and practical training.
The delegated councillor for Employment Policies, Activities, and Industrial Estates, Paqui Sánchez, welcomed the new students at an event held at the municipal facilities of the El Henchidero Educational Complex, where the theoretical part of the course will be taught. Sánchez highlighted the importance of logistics as a sector with "significant growth and great present and future prospects in Antequera."
The training programme is structured into three blocks: 150 hours of theoretical content, another 150 hours of professional internships in companies, and 10 hours dedicated to job orientation. The internships will take place in local companies that regularly collaborate with the Ayuntamiento, allowing students to apply the knowledge acquired in a real environment.
This training initiative corresponds to the fourth call for incentivised training itineraries of the EnRuta project, published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Málaga. It adds to other specialisations already developed, such as Floor Waiter and Hotel Receptionist, as well as the Malagueña Cuisine course, which is in its final phase.
Participants will be able to apply for financial aid as long as they meet the minimum attendance required during the theoretical and practical training and do not exceed the income limits established in the call. The councillor thanked the companies that host students for internships, stating that "these are companies that are always available when the Ayuntamiento requests their collaboration."
With this new edition, the EnRuta project continues its goal of improving the employability of unemployed individuals in Antequera and the surrounding area, offering training tailored to the real needs of the local business fabric. The training in Logistics Management responds to the growing demand for qualified profiles in a key sector for the economic development of the area.
The course will take place over the coming months, alternating theoretical sessions at El Henchidero with practical stays in collaborating companies. Upon completion, participants will receive a certification that will attest to their training in logistics, thereby enhancing their job insertion options.
