Juventud de Torremolinos CF has reached an agreement with Cádiz CF for the transfer of Cameroonian winger Nico Njalla, 22, who arrives from the Cádiz club after making his debut in La Liga.

Juventud de Torremolinos CF announced on Thursday the signing of Nico Njalla, a 22-year-old Cameroonian winger coming from Cádiz CF. The agreement, finalised between both entities, involves the definitive transfer of the player, who signs for the Málaga-based team after completing his training in the Cádiz youth system and making his debut in La Liga.

A move that strengthens the Torremolinos attack

The addition of Njalla represents a quality reinforcement for the Juventud de Torremolinos attack, which competes in Group IV of the Segunda Federación. The winger, who can play on both flanks, brings experience in the third tier after having been loaned to Recreativo de Huelva and Antequera CF in the last two seasons.

The Málaga club has not disclosed the financial details of the operation or the duration of the contract, but it is a future investment for a team looking to establish itself in the category. Njalla, born on April 13, 2003, has accumulated minutes in Primera Federación and arrives with the intention of gaining continuity.

From the Cádiz youth system to debuting in the elite

Nico Njalla was trained in the lower categories of Cádiz CF, where he made his debut with the first team in La Liga, a milestone that marked his career. However, the lack of opportunities in the first team led him to go out on loan to gain experience. In the 2023-2024 season, he played for Recreativo de Huelva and last season for Antequera CF, both in Primera Federación.

His time at Antequera, a team from the province of Málaga, allowed him to showcase his speed and attacking flair, although he did not achieve the desired consistency. Now, in Torremolinos, the player will seek to revive his career and become a key player for the team managed by the local coach.

A common move in the winter market

The transfer falls within the typical movements of the transfer market, where Juventud de Torremolinos continues to shape its squad for the second half of the season. The Málaga club, competing in Group IV of the Segunda Federación, aims to make a quality leap with the arrival of a player with a past in the elite.

For Cádiz CF, Njalla's departure frees up a spot and allows the club to continue with its sporting planning. The Cádiz entity has wished the player good luck in his new chapter. Juventud de Torremolinos, for its part, adds a young player with potential who already knows the category after his time at Antequera.

Torremolinos fans will be able to see Nico Njalla in action in the upcoming league matches, where the team aims to climb the standings. The winger's debut could take place in the next home match, at the municipal stadium.
