In 2021, he was part of CD Numancia in Segunda RFEF.

Since 2022, the forward has competed uninterruptedly in the Primera Federación. He spent two seasons at CD Alcoyano, where he scored a dozen goals, before moving to AD Ceuta in the summer of 2024. After half a season with the Ceuta side, he joined SD Tarazona, where he has played for the last year and a half.

In the last season with SD Tarazona, Cristian Agüero played 35 matches, 28 of them as a starter, accumulating over 2,400 minutes on the pitch and scoring five goals.
