The Mijas Town Hall opens registration for a diving initiation day at the municipal pool of La Cala. It will take place on August 22, with six sessions and a price of 25 euros.
The Youth Department of the Mijas Town Hall has organised a diving baptism day at the municipal pool of La Cala for August 22. The activity, presented this Tuesday by councillor Melisa Ceballos, has a quota of sixty spots and a price of 25 euros per person.
The initiative aims to introduce the youth of the municipality to underwater activities in a controlled environment. According to Ceballos, participants will acquire the basic notions of breathing, maneuvers, and equipment handling underwater, with the goal of safely transitioning to open water. “We highlight the privileged marine environment and coastline that we have in our municipality,” she noted.
The event will take place between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, organised into six one-hour sessions. Each session will have a maximum capacity of ten people, ensuring personalised and safe attention.
The activity is aimed at those over 10 years old. The price of 25 euros includes the necessary technical equipment, supervision by professional instructors, and the corresponding insurance.
Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis through an online form, with priority given to residents registered in Mijas.
