The Málaga singer Pablo López will perform at Marenostrum Fuengirola on July 30, after a muscle injury forced him to cancel the concert on Friday when the venue was already full.

Pablo López now has a new date with his followers in Fuengirola. The concert, which had to be cancelled last Friday when thousands of people were waiting at the Marenostrum venue, will finally take place on July 30, as the artist himself announced in a video shared on Instagram from the hotel.

The Málaga singer explained that he suffered a serious muscle injury that prevented him from going on stage, something that, he confessed, had never happened to him before. “It’s the first time this has happened to me in my life and that it has to be in my homeland and with my people…”, he lamented, visibly affected.

A postponement forced by a last-minute injury

The performance, scheduled for 10:00 PM, was cancelled just 20 minutes before it was set to begin. Through the screens on stage, the organisation communicated that the artist had been taken to the hospital due to a muscle injury. The thousands of attendees, who had already filled the venue, received the news with enormous disappointment, as it was the singer's return to the city where he grew up.

In his message, Pablo López thanked the medical staff, whom he referred to as “angels”, and assured that he tried to “fight until the last moment” to avoid disappointing the audience. “You know that this is what hurts me the most in my heart,” he expressed.

Tickets valid and refunds for those who cannot attend

Tickets purchased for the original date will be valid for the new concert on July 30. Those who cannot attend the new date will be able to request a refund within the 14 business days established for this purpose.

The artist, who appeared “a little desolate and devastated” by what happened, hopes that these weeks of recovery will allow him to return “with enough strength” to offer the postponed concert. “I hope there will be no problem seeing each other on July 30,” he said optimistically.

The concert is part of the El Niño del Espacio tour and was to mark Pablo López's debut on the main stage of Marenostrum Fuengirola, at an event presented by the organisation as his “homecoming”. For the residents of Fuengirola and the Costa del Sol, this new date is an opportunity to enjoy one of the most beloved artists in the province, who grew up in this coastal town.

Attendees who travelled from other parts of Spain also received a special message from the singer, who expressed regret for the inconvenience caused. “I feel for the people from outside who have come, which is a lot,” he indicated, wishing to reconnect with all of them on July 30.
