Spain Park in Fuengirola will host a new concert by the Municipal Band of Music dedicated entirely to jazz on Tuesday, August 18, starting at 21:00. The performance, with free entry until full capacity is reached, is part of the summer concert series that the band holds outdoors at the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium.
The Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, has presented the proposal and encouraged residents and visitors to enjoy a night of music in one of the most emblematic and central spaces of the city. "It will be a magnificent opportunity to enjoy a selection of great works and compositions by some of the great geniuses of this musical genre," he noted.
The program will allow the audience to experience the richness and variety of jazz through pieces performed by a group with a long history and closely linked to the cultural life of Fuengirola. The Municipal Band was founded in 1962 and has established itself as one of the main cultural groups in the city and a musical reference on the Costa del Sol.
Currently, the band has a catalog of over 1,100 printed works and has accumulated more than 2,090 performances in over 300 concerts since 1997, the year it began its current stage under the direction of Alfredo Alarcón Campoy. During the summer months, the band maintains its commitment to promoting music and bringing culture to all audiences with a varied and accessible program.
The concert will take place outdoors, a format that allows the band to reach a wider audience during the summer. The event is on Tuesday, August 18, at 21:00 in Spain Park, with free access until full capacity is reached.
