Companies wishing to carry out the work have until October 19 to submit their bids. The intervention includes the renewal of sanitation, water supply, telecommunications and other services, as well as pavement and lighting. The mayor, Mari Paz Fernández, has pointed out that improving accessibility is one of the central aspects of the project.
“Practically, it will be a new street. We will act on sanitation, water supply, telecommunications and other services, pavement, lighting, and, very importantly, the improvement of accessibility.”
Fernández has framed this action within the municipal line of “continuing to transform Ronda, neighbourhood by neighbourhood” and has recalled that it responds to a demand from local residents, who have been calling for a solution for a road that is in a state of disrepair.
In parallel, the City Council is also keeping open this week the tender for the comprehensive reform of Albahaca Street, in the Padre Jesús neighbourhood, another road in poor condition that is facing a global intervention.
