The public housing applicant register of Ronda has accumulated 550 applications since its opening in March. The housing councillor, Cristina Durán, has encouraged interested parties to register for future promotions.
The Municipal Register of Applicants for Protected Housing in Ronda has received 550 applications since it was launched last March. The aim of this list is to organise the existing demand in the city and prioritise those registered in future public housing allocation processes.
The housing councillor, Cristina Durán, has informed that the register remains open and has reminded interested parties that they can submit their application in person at the Social Services Centre of the Ronda City Council, located on Montes Street, or electronically through the municipal electronic headquarters.
Municipal technicians have already reviewed the documentation and opened the files, and many citizens are receiving at their homes the certificate that confirms their registration. Durán has pointed out that these applications will allow participation in the purchase of homes such as those under construction in the La Dehesa neighbourhood.
“Many citizens are already receiving at their homes the certificate of the VPO housing application. Homes like those that are under construction in the La Dehesa neighbourhood,” Durán indicated.
Additionally, the housing delegation has managed nearly eighty applications for rental assistance from the Junta de Andalucía, amounting to approximately 256,000 euros, which averages 3,600 euros per application. These subsidies cover 100% of the rent for one year and are aimed at families in vulnerable situations.
On the other hand, the Ronda City Council is working on the recovery and new allocation of 13 social housing units in La Dehesa, owned by the Housing and Rehabilitation Agency of Andalucía (AVRA). These are properties that have become vacant due to death or other circumstances and will be reassigned to individuals or families in need.
The review of the situation of the occupants of these homes is carried out every three years. Currently, the Ronda City Council owns 33 social housing units, all of which are allocated to individuals in need.
Those interested in registering must provide the required documentation and complete the application. The electronic procedure is available at the Ronda City Council's electronic headquarters, while in-person assistance is provided at the Social Services Centre on Montes Street.
