Multiple Collision in the False Tunnel of Carlos Haya Complicates Traffic in Málaga

A collision involving at least three vehicles with no injuries on the MA-20 causes over two kilometres of traffic jams towards Málaga since 7:45.

A collision involving at least three vehicles, with no injuries, has caused over two kilometres of traffic jams on the MA-20 towards Málaga since early Thursday morning. The Traffic Civil Guard has been dispatched to the scene, at kilometre 9.

A multiple accident with no injuries involving at least three vehicles is complicating traffic on the MA-20, at kilometre 9, before the false tunnel of Carlos Haya, towards Torremolinos. The incident was reported at 7:45 AM on Thursday, during peak hours for school and work commutes, according to data provided by the Traffic Management Centre to Diario Sur.

The collision has generated at least two and a half kilometres of traffic jams towards Málaga, before the exit to Valle Inclán. Traffic Civil Guard personnel have arrived at the scene to manage traffic and remove the vehicles involved.

The traffic situation in the province presents other significant complications as of 08:04 AM. On the MA-20, near Málaga, slow traffic extends between kilometres 8.50 and 11.00, over a distance of 2.50 kilometres, with evident delays reported by the DGT since 7:32.

On the A-7, passing through Málaga, vehicles are experiencing frequent stops between kilometres 976.58 and 977.41, over a stretch of 830 metres, since 8:02. Also, on the A-357, in Málaga, there is slow traffic between kilometres 64.00 and 66.00, over a distance of 2.00 kilometres, since 7:48.

In Ronda, the A-372 remains closed to traffic between kilometres 63.20 and 64.60, for a distance of 1.40 kilometres, due to a collision incident on the road. The blockage has been in place since 7:47, and authorities recommend avoiding this stretch.

In Rincón de la Victoria, the A-7 is experiencing slow traffic between kilometres 967.99 and 973.86, over a distance of 5.87 kilometres, since 7:37. Additionally, at kilometre 970.80 on the same road, lanes are closed due to an incident detected at 7:21.

In Cártama, the A-357 is congested between kilometres 54.00 and 61.00, over a distance of 7.00 kilometres, since 7:31. In Monda, the A-355 has slow traffic between kilometres 18.00 and 23.00, over 5.00 kilometres, since 7:16.

In Alhaurín de la Torre, the A-7052 is experiencing a bottleneck between kilometres 3.10 and 4.00, over 900 metres, since 7:26, and the A-404 is reporting very slow traffic between kilometres 23.50 and 24.50, over 1.00 kilometre, since the same time. In Vélez-Málaga, the A-7 has sporadic delays between kilometres 966.00 and 970.80, over 4.80 kilometres, due to a vehicle stopped on the road detected at 7:21.

The DGT advises drivers to check road conditions before setting out and to seek alternative routes in the most affected areas, especially around the MA-20 and the A-7 as they pass through the capital.
