The town of Málaga has been the scene of the arrest of a man accused of a homicide that occurred on August 15 in Utrera, Sevilla. The alleged perpetrator was hiding in a property in a hard-to-access area.

Details of the Homicide

The events took place in the Tinte neighbourhood in Utrera, where several calls were received alerting the authorities about the presence of a man lying in the street and several gunshots heard. When the Civil Guard patrol arrived at the scene, they found a 45-year-old man with two bullet wounds in the torso. Unfortunately, he died during his transfer to the hospital.

The initial investigations led the agents to focus their attention on a neighbour with whom the victim had had a prior argument. It is presumed that both had an intense confrontation in the street, after which the suspect shot the victim and fled, receiving help from his family.

Investigation and Arrest

After an exhaustive search, the suspect was located in Canillas, Málaga, hiding in an isolated house situated in a mountainous area. The arrest was carried out by the Homicide Team of the Persons Area of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of Sevilla.

Once arrested, the implicated individual was placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority and has been remanded in custody. The investigation remains open, so further police actions are not ruled out to fully clarify the case and determine if there are more individuals involved.
